Biomass Hammer Mill work on the principle that most materials will crush, shatter, or pulverize upon impact. Material is fed into the mill's chamber through the feed chute, typically by gravity, where it is struck by ganged hammers attached to a shaft that rotates at high speed inside the mill’s grinding chamber.

The material is crushed or shattered by a combination of repeated hammer impacts, collisions with the walls of the grinding chamber, and particle on particle impacts. Perforated metal screens or bar grates covering the discharge opening of the mill retain coarse material for further grinding, while allowing properly sized materials to pass.

* This series hammer mill is mainly for crushing coarse sawdust, wood shaving and herbage or straw dealt by hay cutter to the fineness needed to be pelletized, or small wood pieces less than 40mm.
* Direct transmission is adopted. The reasonable arrangement of hammers and clearance between hammers and screens make sure the final products are uniform fineness. The tool bit of the hammer is spray welding with carbon tungsten alloy.
* The bearing imported is with high quality. When working,  it has low temperature rising. And it is equipped with the temperature indicator that can show the working condition. The bearing pedestal is SKF brand from Germany.
* The secondary grinding chamber is assembled in the machine, the base has goof rigidity and little vibration.
* Various thickness screen sieve size are selectable. Quick starting type door opening machinery, make it fast to change th e new screen, easy to operate and convenient to maintain.
